Hello friends, my name is Jon Paul. I was born and raised in Nashville, TN. I love technology, music, researching, writing, programming, movies, and walking. I grew up in a non-demoninational/charismatic/baptist church environment and have been a christian since I was 4. Christianity did not mean much to me until around the age of 9 when one of my church members died and my church read a story about someone's near death experience of heaven at their funeral. It got me wondering, "What kind of God would make a place so beautiful?" That made me want to know Him more.
In the early years of my church the teachings were largely healthy, but towards my teenage years we got new leadership and visiting teachers and I learned many unhealthy lessons about God that destroyed well-being. I had a turning point around the age of 20, when God began teaching me his unlimited grace. Till that point I had heard of grace, but it was so mixed with religion I could not actually experience it. I began listening to Joseph Prince, John Sheasby, two prominent grace preachers, and the Lord Himself and their combined messages changed my life. I found joy, peace, healthiness, and stability in my walk with God. I love spending time with God, talking with him and learning about him in a way that is life giving.
Now I feel a sort of mission to help those who are struggling with the weight of religion find a way of building a wonderful relationship with God in freedom, peace, and joy.
